


Day 1 : Flight France -
Delhi
Day 2 : Delhi - Leh ; rest and acclimatization. Ballads in Leh, capital
of Ladakh.
Day 3 : AM : Meeting with the Tibetans refugee children of Choglamsar.
Visit of the center and share of the activities.
PM : Excursions in the surroundings of Leh in the monasteries of Hemis, Chemre,
Thikse and Stok.
At the beginning of the evening, fireworks and great illuminations begin.
Day 4 : Meeting with the Shaman, introduction to the bases of the shamanism.
Seance.
In the districts, we follow the ladakhis families going from house to house
to exchange their wishes. Many other festivities downtown. Midnight supper
of the new year with a group of folk dances Ladakhi.
Day 5 : Visits of the Phyang monasteries, then village of Basgo and
its medieval monastery and finally of Likir, one of the most imposing gelupas
monasteries of Ladakh. Then, we go to the village of Hemis Shukpachan. Night
in a house of village.
Day 6 : In the morning, visits of the nonnery and the village. After
midday, we will attend fantastic horse-races in the village with the participation
of 30 to 40 riders.
Day 7 : We walk on in throats in order to reach the fantastic site
of the monastery of Ridzong leaned with a circus where we will spend the night.
Men will sleep in the monastery and women in the nonnery. We attend the festival
animated by the inhabitants of the villages which is prolonged in the evening.
Day 8 : Homages and prayers in the monastery then return to the village
for the continuation of the festivities until the evening.
During this period, Ladakhis are derssed with their most beautiful costumes.
Day 9 : Imposing procession of the inhabitants who will celebrate Losar
in every family. We spend the day in company of a ladakhi family, visit their
house, eat with them...
Day 10 : In the morning, visit of a workshop of weaving of "Gonchas",
the traditional Ladakhi and Zanskarpa dress.
Afternoon free. In the evening, we will witness masked ritual dances representing
the former royal family.
Day 11 : We will attend to a theatrical spectacle and a festival of
dance.
Day 12 : Celebration of the last day of the religious festival. Dances
and ceremonies of closing.
Day 13 : Return to Leh and rest
Day 14 : Free day in Delhi or Agra or extra day
Day 15 : Flight Delhi - France

A voyage out of the commun run in the Himalayan winter. Whereas snows isolate the high valleys and that fields are cold, everyone prepares with the greatest festival of the year, Losar.
It is New Year's day which is
celebrated over more than one week in a noria of dances, of evening where
the legends are told, of torchlight tattoo connecting the men and the houses,
of horse-races, of ritual ceremony testifying to the narrow overlap of the
Ladakhi people with the Buddhist culture.
